At the Ndakinna Education Center, we focus on five main learning areas:

Wilderness & Survival Skills
Firemaking, shelter building, animal tracking, wilderness first aid, snowshoeing

Adirondack & Native Culture
Storytelling, drumming, dance, arts & crafts, games, traditions, exhibit spaces, festivals

Ecology & Nature Studies
Woodland ecology, plant & bird identification, nature trail walks on our 80-acre preserve

Ndakinna (pronounced en-dak-enna) is Abenaki for “Our Land”

Alternative College Break/Group Retreats
Low ropes course, conflict resolution, team building, leadership training, retreats

Fitness & Martial Arts
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Karate, Kickboxing, adults and kids classes
The Ndakinna Education Center is an affiliate of the Greenfield Review Literary Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and charitable organization located in Greenfield Center, New York. The Center offers people of all ages unique hands-on learning experiences, principles of indigenous arts of life, team building, character development, and exhibit spaces focusing on regional Native American understandings, Adirondack culture, wilderness skills and awareness of the natural world.
