Ndakinna Education Center Abenaki Language Remote Learning Classes:
Open to all, no prior experience with the language is required. This course is built entirely around everyday essential conversational phrases utilizing recordings of heritage speakers as our guide to both learn to hear and say each phrase with confidence. Similar to our Intro to Abenaki Course, classes are taught using elements of immersion, games, songs, stories and built around the Abenaki culture. Includes a certificate of completion in Conversational Abenaki.
Classes include access to the Ndakinna Course Hub on Canvas, with the class schedule, quizzes, activities, and other asynchronous learning tools. There is also bonus access to all our class materials from all sections, a private email server to communicate with other students and faculty, and much more.
This is a 4 week course consisting of online classes taking place May 3rd to 30th. Each week, the class will take place Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm.
